Barbie Be Super
For the past 50 years, Barbie has been an inspiration for little girls. She’s been a veterinarian, an astronaut, a paleontologist and even a game developer. But for the first time ever, little girls could look up to her as the crime-fighting superhero Super Sparkle.
To promote this new Barbie and her new DVD release, Barbie™ in Princess Power, we developed a campaign that encouraged little girls to always do their best and help others by becoming a member of the The Barbie Super Squad.
A team of remarkable young ladies aged 6 to 14 became the Barbie Super Squad Leaders and shared their stories to inspire other young girls.
Barbie and her Super Squad traveled Canada to attend Barbie™ in Princess Power movie screenings. Little girls were invited to dress up in their superhero gear, meet Barbie and her Super Squad Leaders, walk the Princess Power runway, take photos against the Princess Power backdrop and join the Super Squad online for a chance to do good and participate in a contest too.
Barbie Super Squad members shared with us their super deeds or acts of kindness to collect badges, which also entered them for a chance to become a featured Super Squad member with their own animated short.
Proof that with Barbie Anything is Possible.
